Welcome to the Olderfleet International Film Festival 

We are very excited to announce that on Saturday, the 18th of October, Larne harbour will once again be home to the Olderfleet International Film Festival! Taking place at the East Antrim Boat Club, just a stones throw away from the remains of its namesake, the historic Olderfleet Castle, the OIFF will be showing a curated selection of films from both local and international filmmakers alike.

As a non-profit festival, all proceeds will be split 50/50 between the RNLI (a volunteer run organization saving lives at sea), and World Central Kitchen (a charity providing humanitarian aid in Gaza, Palestine).

So we hope that you will join us for a good time watching some fantastic films, whilst helping out a couple of very important causes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get to OIFF via public transport?

Yes, Larne harbour train station is just under 10 minutes walk away via a direct route. We really hope to finish everything in time for people to easily make the last train to Belfast. The bus station is also about 25 minutes walk away via the harbour highway footpath.

Is OIFF being held in the Olderfleet Bar & Garden Venue?

No, the festival is not associated with the Olderfleet Bar & Garden Venue, and is named after the historic local castle. However The Olderfleet is a wonderful restaurant and serves some of the best food in the town. OIFF is happening at the East Antrim Boat Club.

Is there a place to get refreshments? 

Yes, the East Antrim Boat Club will have a fully operational bar with drinks and bar snacks. (At the time of writing we cannot confirm if there will be anything else available but we are currently exploring our options) 

I want to eat a meal before the festival, where should I go?

There are a handful of great eateries within walking Distance, our personal recommendations would be, Mayur Indian Restaurant (Fantastic sit in experience), Brooklyn Bay Diner (American style restaurant) and The Olderfleet Bar (wonderful menu and ambiance).
